Prayer
When
I hear the word pray the first thought that enters my mind is, Did you think to
pray? I love the message in this song and the gentle reminder that it brings. I
love that as members of the church we know what a difference prayer can make. I
can't even began to imagine how others cope in life without prayer. What a
blessing it is to be able to find a quiet spot and speak with our Heavenly
Father.
I remember a time in my life when I wasn't active and had stopped staying my prayers. I was so lost, confused and unhappy. The day that I started saying my prayers again, I was filled with such peace, comfort and hope.
As a mother, I love that I am able to teach my son by example the power of prayer. A few months ago my son kept having this reoccurring nagging feeling that he was forgetting something and he didn't know what to do about it. I gently reminded him to pray about it and as I watched him kneel in prayer I saw the relief wash over him as Heavenly Father answered his pray. It was such a wonderful moment to be able to share with him on the power of prayer.
